I love this spot! They prepare first-rate dishes, their menu is large, The chef in that place is well trained, I enjoy a lot trying all their dishes. The food is always of high class, the attitude towards the guests is efficient. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. Highly recommended.

Very nice ambiance. We had the Houston Restaurant Week menu. It consisted of 2 different entrees. Ironically my friends and I all got the same dish, rainbow trout with truffled mashed potatoes and asparagus. The presentation was amazing but unfortunately the fish was overcooked and burned on the skin side. It has the ambiance of a blackened fish. The restaurant manager took it back and brought out another peice which was still burned but better. Beautiful restaurant but it did not live up to my expectations from what others have told me.

Service was horrible!!! The server made us feel like we were being held hostage. Condescending, demeaning and sarcastic The worst experience I have ever had at a fine dining establishment. The non-hospitality over shadowed the food which was good but we could not enjoy because there was no joy in our server. We tried to placate him and pray for him to no avail. He needs to find a different job. I talked with the manager on staff Marijke and she said that it was not like him. She gave us an offer to to return to make it up and handed me her card and was polite. I emailed the Oceanaire when I got home and put a complaint to then. management. We shall see how they handle it. I have never written review before and I was highboy motivated by this unfortunate experience. I will update later.

Another Landry's staple. What more can I say Mr. Fertitta knows how to take care of his customers. We went for Houston Restaurants week and it was amazing. I hardly had time to snap pics. But believe me food was exceptional.

We came into Houston from Wisconsin and went to Oceanaire the first evening for dinner. It could not have been any better! The food was outstanding, the staff was excellent, the whole environment - the space, the music, the art - was lovely! It really set the tone for our visit to Houston. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Thank you!

My dining experience here was absolutely amazing. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu that after he had made some recommendations, I had all the information I needed to order without going back to the menu. The crab cake starter was really tasty. And I enjoyed the delicious surf and turf entree with the steak made perfectly to order. The bread pudding dessert was the perfect conclusion to dinner.

Excellent taste for food. A Side dish was forgotten and took 10 mins to show that was a main meal for a person in our party. Grilled shrimp and white rice was ordered as a meal but 3 shrimp? Otherwise would have given 5 star. Service was great though.

Now normally i would give this restaurant 5/5 but we did have issues last time. My food was cold and my friends steak was not cooked as requested. The food was redone but my friends wife had to wait on us. Now we were comped the poor dishes and second time around it was excellent! Service was great and ambiance is always good. Pricey, so you expect excellent results so its a little disappointing to have less than perfect dishes. However, it won't stop me from going back there again.

We’ve gone to The Oceanaire for years last night was the worst experience. We weren’t asked to check our coats. Our waiter took 15 minutes to greet us and take the drink orders and didn’t ask about combining the checks the food was not even close to what we had in the past go Steak 48!!! This was a birthday but we couldn’t tell terrible experience needs new management we have found a new restaurant sad

Very romantic place, especially the upstairs. The staff is well informed and treat you with respect. The food and desert was delicious, bread pudding freshly made.

My group and I all ordered different plates from the whole grouper to the lobsters but a similar trend was that all our dishes came out overcooked, sometimes burnt to a point where eating anything would result in utter bitterness. Even the desert, the chocolate brownie was drier than a desert and the only saving grace was the scoop of icecream.See attached photo for my "medium-rare" grouper burnt nice toasty!

I love the lobster macaroni and the steaks are pretty good, i do not like the paired steak sauce at all, seems more fitting for a meatloaf. The cocktails are a little lackluster flavor wise and the dessert cake was ULTRA dry, being a Baker (and a culinary Goddess 😏) I was highly disappointed in the product, I may return for macaroni, its worth the 20 bucks

Food quality was bar none. Started with the raw oysters, along with the amazing warm sourdough bread, and then for the main course was the stuff flounder (stuffed wit shrimp, crab, spinach, and Parmesan cheese). If that wasn’t enough as a side we ordered the truffle oil mashed potatoes. I took off a star as there was some confusion with the wait staff (they had just opened for the day) as to whom was our server. The water attendant was spot on and always at the table side. The layout is very nice and decorated well - the space is huge but yet still partitioned nicely for privacy where needed.Will be returning to try several other items on the menu (the swordfish for one)!

The food & cocktails are delicious; and the service is always excellent.

Met some friends here for dinner and truly enjoyed the atmosphere and dining experience. Excellent service from a very attentive wait staff. The meal did take a while to be served, but it gave us time to talk and enjoy appetizers without feeling rushed.

The fried lobster over grits was excellent. As well as the redfish with peach sauce.

Very classy place to have dinner, the atmosphere is great and so is the view, the food is very good in taste and quality and I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't for the experience I had on my last visit. Basically I ordered the halibut filet and the chef had the very bad idea of dressing it up with a piece of caramelized onion which did not go well at all with the fish and totally ruined the flavor, also the "Baked Alaska" cake is a very entertaining show, but the ice cream is very low quality because you can taste frozen pieces of ice in it. All in all it's not bad.

This place has amazing food and great service. We've tried several dishes and special menus and we are never disappointed. It has been consistently good everytime we go.They make delicious drinks and have good drink and food specials in the bar area during happy hour. This is our favorite place in Galleria I highly recommend this place if you want something on the pricier side but well worth your money. They also offer valley for under $10 if you hate dealing with the Galleria parking lot.

We ordered everything that was recommended and we weren't disappointed!

The Oceanaire is right next to Del Frisco's. We usually go for happy hour and tend to stick to cocktails and bar menu items or appetizers. If you like Palomas, the one at Oceanaire is one of the best around. Other good choices are the Oysters Rock and the Shrimp Diablo. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, but I have not eaten in the main dining room enough to know if the service is the same.

The quality of food was subpar. The Chicken Fried Lobster had hair in it. The cheesecake was not blended and had enormous chunks of cream cheese throughout it.

I love the oyster choices. The wine was very tasty. This is a place you go to have a quiet, pleasant lunch with friends or a date night. I only had the appetizers, but hopefully next time I can experience the dinner as well.

The Oceanaire is what you are feeling in your spirit. Whether your are dinning with friends are family, they can accommodate you. The food was excellent and the staff did not miss a beat.

This is a perfect place for an anniversary dinner! Omg the food was perfect and the service was like in a movie. Pure perfection!

My husband and I decided to celebrate his birthday with a nice dinner at The Oceanaire Seafood Room. Everything was superb!! From the moment I placed the reservation and had to call back to make some adjustments, the hostess was quite accommodating. He especially appreciated the personalized menu that included a happy birthday message with his name. That made him feel special and the hostess rolled it up nicely for us to take home.We arrived and were given window seats facing Westheimer. Our waiters were very accommodating and make suggestions that were spot on. There were two of them, one may have been in training, but he wasn't as present as the other gentleman. The food was mouth-watering and the customer service was superb. The King Salmon and tempura broccoli was delicious. I hadn't had tempura broccoli before, but I'm a fan now. The baked alaska ended up having a burnt taste...I think it was lit too long. All in all, we would return for another visit.

Been here twice now, clean and well prep food. The shrimp cocktail 5 stars all the way. The Halibut excellent choice as well. Maybe a creamy lemon sauce will add more flavor. Great Place.

This is a great place for date night or a business lunch or dinner. The service is excellent and so is the food. Their salads and oyesters are fresh. Their gumbo is everything. And their fish and seafood selections are incredible. I find this to be a romantic spot if you want to take a date and impressive place to take someone for business .

The Oceanaire is a very lively bar and seafood restaurant attached to the Galleria mall in Houston. A young and trendy international crowd comes here to enjoy the excellent happy hour with cocktails and food at very attractive prices ... a somewhat more senior crowd comes to enjoy the upscale dining side of things. The seafood is fresh and very tasty indeed. Overall a great venue to take friends.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and best of all, out waiter Drew was stupendous! He was super kind, informative, helpful, and very attentive to our needs. Will definitely stop by again for the amazing food and not to mention Drew!

Beautiful restaurant with room for groups but intimate enough for a date night. The southern fried lobster is a unique menu item. The prices, however, are on the high side. Expect to spend $100 per person on a well rounded meal with a drink, a salad, an entree and a side dish.

TJ in the lounge was great. He took me on a solo seafood and wine journey I thoroughly enjoyed. Dining alone can be a bit daunting and lonely but TJ and the staff at Oceanaire Houston were great they made me feel happy to be there.

This is more of a location for a romantic date, but kids are definitely welcome. For a full meal it's going to run you about $50 per person. The entrees are sold separately from the sides which are served family-style. The food has good flavor and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Sometimes the food can be a little slow, but overall this place is good and they often have specials on the entrees. The portions are a bit small and they could use a little more flavor, but it's in a beautiful building.

Love the decor. Is spacious inside with music in the background. Nice place for date night. The grilled salmon was great, albeit small for the price. The New England clam chowder was thick and tasty, but not the best I've tried. Had the Drumheller cab, that's good. Overall, it was a good dinning experience. Love the restroom, very clean and colonial looking.

Great place to host dinner parties. The private room on the second floor was perfect for our group. The staff was very attentive.

Fantastic location. Amazing food and friendly staff. Though we were there literally hours before the initial lockdown and so it was us and one other table that had a reservation so that might of played into the chefs ability to cook such an amazing meal.
